Term-based Students: Course Deadlines & Late Penalties
Important Information for Term-Based Students: *Student athletes and independent students enrolled in self-paced courses must follow the Official Final Grade Process in your Course Welcome Letter.
New Fall 2025! All courses students enrolled through their school this semester will have set due datesdesigned to guide students' progress and keep them moving forward. Here's what you need to know:
Syllabus Quiz – Due 7 days after your course start date
Midpoint Due Date – First half of the course (about 50%) is due
Final Due Date – Remaining coursework is due by the last day of the course
While student can submit late assignments, all assignments submitted late will receive a 5% deduction per day.
Important Reminders:
Instructors cannot allow extensions on midpoint due dates, so be sure to keep track of your progress.
Check the individual assignment or the Gradestab in your course to see specific due dates for each task.
Late work submitted after the Midpoint Due Date could result in a 5% to 100% deduction, depending on how many days have passed.
Although all past due work submitted after the Midpoint Due Date will automatically result in a zero or 100% deduction after 20 days.
Students may still be required to submit all missing activities to unlock the next module and continue progressing in Canvas.
Late work will not be accepted after the Final Due Date.
Canvas Course Announcements: Students should regularly check their course's "Announcements" and "Grades" sections for their course schedule, important due dates, and more updates related to assignments.
