How do I view Announcements as a student?
How to View Announcements in Canvas:
- Navigate to your course tile located on your main dashboard.
- Click on the "Announcements" link in the course navigation menu on the left.
- Here you will see all global and course-specific announcements.
Types of Announcements:
Global Announcements
Global Announcements are posted by our Canvas Administrators (TEL Support Team) seen for all your courses. These announcements will include:
- Course getting started information.
- Course start and end dates.
- Holiday office closures and other TEL updates.
Course Announcements
Course-specific announcements are posted by your instructor and are intended to provide you with updates and important information related to your particular course. Instructors will typically post monthly announcements. You can expect the following from your course instructor announcements:
- Reminders about upcoming assignments.
- Clarifications on course material and changes to the syllabus.
- Important updates specific to your course section.
