Yes, Honorlock requires students to verify their identity before beginning an online exam. This process helps maintain exam integrity by ensuring that the correct student is taking the test. Honorlock accepts most government-issued IDs, such as driver’s licenses and passports, as well as student ID cards with photos.
If you do not have a valid physical ID, please contact our support team at Support@tel-education.org to discuss alternative verification methods before your exam.
Before starting your exam, ensure you have a valid form of identification. You can also demo the online verification process ahead of time using the following link: Honorlock ID Demo. Once completed, return to your exam module to begin.
Ensure you have a valid ID (government-issued or student ID with a photo).
Select "I Have My ID."
Hold your ID in the middle of the webcam and click Take ID Photo.
Ensure the ID is legible in the captured image.
Perform a 360° scan of your room and workspace.
Click Begin Room Scan.
Click I'm Done when the scan is complete.

If verification fails multiple times, an Honorlock support member may intervene to manually approve your access.
You may be given the option to upload a picture of your ID using your mobile device for a clearer image.
For a smooth testing experience, please carefully review all exam guidelines outlined in your Exam Module
