Course Assistance & Assignment Feedback
Help with Assignments?

As TEL support members, we always encourage students to contact their instructor about the assignment rubric or other content-related questions. This way, you will get the best possible answer for your grade and additional resources most relevant to your course. Please feel free to contact your instructor for your course from your Canvas Inbox.

Additional Grading, Extensions, Incomplete Requests:

  • Typically, only one mastery assignment attempt is reviewed for a grade.
  • Occasionally, TAs and instructors may leave comments and feedback, allowing students to edit their work quickly or permit further "view" access to be reviewed for a grade.
  • In these instances, the student may attach the assignment PDF in the comments section or reach out directly via the Canvas inbox for more information.
  • Otherwise, all additional opportunities would come at your instructor's discretion.
Course Resources Reminder
  • TEL Support does not teach or evaluate coursework.
  • Our professors are directly aligned with the curriculum team and are backed by professionals in their distinct fields.
  • This means our team must rely on our instructors to verify these instances before we can implement any grade or content updates.
  • Contact your instructor via the Canvas Inbox.
  • Instructor details are under Meet Your Instructor on your Home page.
  • Instructors generally reply to student messages in your Canvas Inbox within 48 business hours.

  • Important Disclaimer: Instructors are not involved in proctored exams, final grade procedures, or technical troubleshooting.

Course Policy: It is generally up to the instructor's discretion and the student's situation to allow any grade changes or secondary reviews on mastery assignments. All student emergencies and course extension/incomplete requests are commonly reserved for student with technical issues or circumstances out of their hands, like an illness, will be discussed with instructors on a case-to case basis.

  1. Returning students will use the same login credentials as in previous semesters in Canvas with us.

  2. Newly Enrolled: Starting Canvas Course(s)
    1. Term-Based/ Enrolled Through Your School: Students enrolled in their first course with us typically receive a notice from their school or an automatic course invitation from notifications@instructure.com to finish setting up their Canvas account to begin. Your school schedule is typically posted in a course announcement after the first week of class.
    2. Independent (Self-paced) Students: Students enrolled independently receive a Welcome Letter within 24–48 hours of submitting the registration form. Please verify your associate email is correct and consider checking your spam/promotions folder. It will arrive from telindependents@tel-education.org or wordpress@shop-tel.org and includes:
      1. Course Deadline: Six months from Welcome Letter.

      2. TEL policies
      3. Canvas login instructions
