Understanding Proctoring Codes for Secure Testing

For Students:

Taking exams in an online environment requires maintaining exam integrity. Some form of exam proctoring is necessary to ensure a quality educational experience and academic integrity. If your institution does not offer in-person proctoring, you must utilize our third-party proctoring service (Monitor EDU).

​Receiving Exam Codes from Authorized Proctor:

  • Your proctor, whether through Monitor EDU online or in-person with your school, will provide you with a proctoring code at the time of your exam.

Ready to Begin Your Exam:

  • After carefully reviewing all exam and proctoring instructions provided in the course's exam module, navigate to the bottom of the instructions section, where you will find a link to connect to an online proctor.
  • Once all exam guidelines are met, the proctoring code will be provided to you by the authorized proctor.
  • This passcode will be unique to your exam and is subject to frequent updates.
