Final Grades Process: Self-Paced Courses (Student-Athletes & Independents)
Note: The final grades process below only applies to TEL independents and student-athletes who purchased and registered self-paced course(s) through one of our regionally accredited university partners. The form below is not for term-based students or those who enrolled through their school.
All final grades are typically reported to your chosen university partner 1 to 2 weeks after your course ends. Students who register independently in self-paced courses have six months to complete each course. Upon enrollment and registration submission, the course start date is initiated by the Welcome/Login Credentials letter sent to the student’s email. If you complete your course after two weeks (14 days) and before the scheduled end date (six months or 180 days) from the date of enrollment and need your grades sent early, please follow the five (5) steps outlined below in the Final Grade and Official Transcript Ordering process:
***The final grades and Official Transcript ordering process could take up to 10 business days***
Once you have completed your course(s) and all assignments have a grade with no pending issues, please submit the Final Grade Request Form. This notifies our academic team to conduct a final review of your completed course or courses.
To prevent delays, you must enter the first and last name along with the email address used for course enrollment.
Final Grade Processing – After the review, our academic team will process your final grade or grades and send them to your designated university partner.
Confirmation Email—Our team will email you once your grade or grades have been sent to the designated university for transcription.
University Processing – The university processes your final grade or grades in its system.
Order Your Transcript – Follow the university’s transcript request process to request and pay for your official transcript. Official transcripts can be sent to an address of your choosing.
*
*If you see a “Hold Status” when ordering your official transcript, this status indicates that our academic team is still processing your grades or that your university has yet to add it to their system. Students cannot order an official transcript until they receive our Confirmation Email in step 3.
Important Reminders:
-
TEL does not provide unofficial transcripts.
-
TEL is not your university that issues your official transcript upon successful completion.
-
Please allow the University’s Registrar up to 10 days to process your official transcript.
-
Instructors are not involved in the grade finalization process beyond grading your submissions.
