Moving Forward in My Course: Student FAQs

Understanding Milestones:

If you cannot move forward in your course, you may have “Milestones” implemented into your student portal by your school. These Milestones keep students moving in a linear fashion throughout their course. Please review the previous lessons and make sure you have completed all assignments.

This includes all quizzes, assignments, exams, and the Course Introduction module. All modules will have green checkmarks if all assignments have been completed.

For example, you may not be able to take the midterm exam until every lesson and assignment before the midterm is complete and shows a green checkmark to the side of the lesson.

Student's FAQs:

  1. Incomplete Discussions: If discussions remain a tinted red color even after completion, don't worry. Participation will be seen by your instructor.

      • Please note: Course discussions will not receive a green checkmark once completed. You can find more information on discussions here.

  2. Pre-Course Survey: To mark the Pre-Course Survey task as complete, navigate to the Course Introduction Module (drop-down tab) and click "Pre-Course Survey". This action will ensure the entire module is marked with a green checkmark.
