What is the TEL Orientation course, and is it graded?

Every student who enrolls in a TEL course will be automatically enrolled in the TEL Orientation course. This short course walks you through the platform so you understand where to find the information you need to be successful in your coursework. Although the course will show a completion grade on your Course Grade Summary, it does not count toward or against your GPA. It does, however, provide key information about the TEL platform, and our data shows that there is a direct correlation between Orientation course completion rate and student success in our college courses. Note: The Orientation course is regularly updated; therefore, we highly recommend that you take the course every semester prior to beginning your other TEL courses. It takes approximately an hour to complete and can be found on the "Current Courses" page in your online portal.
