What is proctoring?

Proctoring ensures academic integrity by monitoring students during midterm and final exams. Testing is overseen by an authorized proctor who verifies the student’s identity and maintains the security of the test environment. TEL partners with Honorlock, a trusted remote proctoring service, to provide this service to students.

Honorlock is included in the cost of your course, and all necessary steps can be completed in the student's exam module. When you're ready to take your exam, go to the Midterm or Final Exam Module from the Canvas course 'home' page. At the top of the page, you'll find helpful sections to guide you through preparing for the exam, including proctoring setup and detailed instructions on what to expect.
