What information is needed in the conclusion paragraph of a definition essay?

The conclusion paragraph will summarize the main points of your essay. It will also relate back to the original definition of the word or idea, reminding the reader of the purpose of the essay. Additional information about writing a conclusion paragraph can be found here.

Here are some points your conclusion should include:

The author restates the thesis using different words that emphasize the importance of the definition in relation to the thesis statement. No new information is presented in the argument.
The conclusion information connects to the information in the hook/anecdote.
Final sentence asks the reader to contemplate the definition in their own life or to think further about the author’s point of view.
