What can I do if I need help?

What can I do if I need help?

As a TEL Education student, there are a few options for asking for assistance in navigating a course, completing an assignment or looking for additional information.  Please use these suggestions prior to submitting an assignment.  These are great ways to ask for help before turning in your work.  If you’re interested in reading more about this, check out the “Get Help/Support Services section” of the Course Home Page.

Workshops

The Student Success Coaches can help students provide helpful suggestions for studying for an exam, and mentor students throughout the TEL Education learning process.  Coaches can connect with students in a virtual workshop.  For more information about attending a virtual workshop, click hereFor more information about the TEL Education Student Success Coaches, click here

Instructors

Instructors can be great resources when navigating the TEL Education platform.  They are willing to answer questions pertaining to the content of the course and provide an explanation of the requirements for the mastery assignments. For additional information about navigating the platform, click here.

  1. Office Hours: All instructors have office hours.  Instructor office hours are posted in the “Meet Your Instructor” lesson of the Course Introduction.  If you are meeting your instructor during his or her office hours, use the Tawk.to link listed in your course.  Please note that if you attempt to use this link outside of office hours, your instructor may not respond.
  1. Email: If you have a content-related question outside of office hours, please contact your instructor via email.  Your instructor’s email address is listed in the Course Introduction under the title “Meet Your Instructor”.  It is also listed on the Course Home Page.  While your instructor cannot grade your assignment or provide feedback on an entire essay prior to submitting a grade, he or she will be happy to assist by answering course-specific questions.

Read Knowledge Base Articles

There are many articles listed in the Knowledge Base.  These articles help to answer frequently asked questions. The topics can range from technical requirements, proctoring exams, navigating assignments and quizzes, and suggestions for different writing styles.  To access the Knowledge Base, click on the red question mark at the bottom right corner of your screen.   Select a topic, or use the search bar at the top of this pop-up to navigate the articles.  Click on the section labeled “Research Paper Tips” for additional assistance in writing a college-level essay.
