Can I download a printable version of my lessons for studying purposes?

Yes! TEL provides on-demand printable lessons via the PrintFriendly Chrome browser extension. You can use this extension to download a screen-reader accessible version of our course material, select and omit portions of lessons, and customize the printable as necessary.

 

Below is a step-by-step guide for how to download and install the PrintFriendly browser extension. Please note: Students will need to sign in to a Google account to access this feature.

1. Open “Google Chrome” and click on the “Apps” button in the top left corner.


2. Click on the “Web Store” icon, opening the Chrome Web Store.


3. In the top left corner, type “Print Friendly” into the search bar.


4. Click the “Print Friendly & PDF” extension.


5. Click “Add to Chrome” followed by “Add Extension” in the pop-up window.


6. Congratulations! The extension is installed.


To generate a printable lesson on the TEL platform:


1. Log in to the TEL platform and locate the lesson or assignment to be printed.
2. Select the puzzle piece icon in the top right corner of the Chrome browser window.
3. In the “Extensions” list, select “Print Friendly & PDF.”


4. Click individual elements to omit them from the printable lesson, if necessary.
5. Finally, click “Print” or “PDF” to either print the lesson from this menu or download a PDF for further studying.
