How do I write the body paragraphs of a Literature Review in a case study?

Body of the Research Paper

  • Search databases like the American Psychological Association for scholarly sources.  Read the titles and abstracts of the articles to help narrow down which sources fit the best into your own case study.

  • Take notes while reading the articles.  Identify key points or ideas that will help create an effective solution for your patient.  Take note of patterns in the research as you read through various scholarly sources.

  • This section will include a summary of each scholarly article.  The summary will briefly explain who was involved in the study, what the study sought to prove, the information they learned throughout their study, the results that helped the patients, and the impacts on their patients’ lives.

  • Then, apply this information directly to your patient.  Explain how this study applies to the person you are working with, what information applies directly to their case, and how this will inform the path for therapies.
