How do I know which schools and universities will accept TEL Education course credits?
Our credit-granting universities are regionally accredited; however, we always recommend that you directly contact the institution to which you plan to transfer credits and confirm. Remember that these credits are being transferred not from TEL, but from one of our partnering credit-granting universities. TEL is not listed on your transcript. In other words, do not give the institution your TEL course prefix and code to see if credits will transfer. Instead, you will need to provide the prospective institution with the course equivalency information found at tellearning.org/partners.
To look up your credit-granting university’s course equivalencies and credits, go to tellearning.org/partners, then scroll down and click on your credit-granting institution. Once you arrive at their partner page, go to the “Summary” box below and click on the “Course Equivalencies” tab. Make sure to verify the equivalency title and credit number with the prospective institution’s equivalency title and credit number to ensure that your credits will transfer appropriately.
