Our mission is to make affordable college education universally available. Our vision is a world where cost will no longer be a barrier to quality, college-level education for any student, anywhere, any time. This vision, along with the diverse needs of the institutional partners and individual learners we serve, has led us to design a differentiated set of content and services.

TEL is a non-profit organization committed to providing equitable access to college-level learning to everyone. At TEL, we create a catalog of highly engineered, online, general education courses and partner with colleges and universities to offer these courses for college credit at affordable prices. Common Core Standards

• are representative of how most colleges and universities present a subject.
• align with state or national standards for high school.
• have the structure and rigor required to be accredited by a college or university.

In higher education, we look at course syllabi from representative types of universities and review tables of content and instructional materials from the top textbooks in a subject. In some cases, we work with national organizations and look at any subject guidelines they may have issued. This allows us to create a course outline that represents the scope of a 3-hour college course and provide all content and activities that are taught in a traditional college or university course, along with a foundational set of topics and learning objectives.
